Muse Extra Brut Rosé Méthode Traditionnelle
Wine
Moorilla Muse Extra Brut Rosé Méthode Traditionnelle is an aperitif style sparkling blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from the estate St. Matthias Vineyard on the Tamar River.
The fruit is handpicked and whole bunch pressed for fermentation. To retain fruit freshness and acidity there is no malolactic fermentation. The wine develops complexity through extended lees contact.
A barrel of Pinot Noir is added to the Chardonnay pressings to balance the tannin profile, giving the wine its characteristically darker hue.
Secondary fermentation occurs in bottle to create a natural sparkling wine. After ageing for over four years, the lees are removed and the wine is topped up for release.
Salmon pink, Moorilla Muse Extra Brut Rosé Méthode Traditionnelle has lively summer fruit flavours, vibrant acidity and a long finish. Cellaring potential is seven years.
